Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Real Buyer Experiences (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operating the website realbuyerexperiences.com (the “Site”), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit. Real Buyer Experiences is a content website that publishes product reviews and honest buyer experiences. We do not sell products directly, and we do not require you to create an account to read our content.
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. This policy describes what we do collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. If you have questions, contact us at [email protected].
Who we are
The Site is operated by Real Buyer Experiences (“the operator”). For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / UK GDPR), the operator is the “data controller” for personal data processed through the Site. You can reach the operator at [email protected] or [business address].
The information we collect
We collect information in three main ways:
1. Information you give us voluntarily. The Site does not offer user accounts. The only personal information you might actively provide is:
- Newsletter email address (optional, if offered). If we make a newsletter available and you choose to subscribe, we collect the email address you submit and, where applicable, a record of your consent. If we do not currently offer a newsletter, we do not collect this.
- Contact messages. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive the email address and any information you include in your message.
2. Information collected automatically (analytics and cookies). When you visit the Site, we and our analytics providers automatically collect certain technical information using cookies and similar technologies. We use Google Tag Manager (“GTM”) to manage tags, and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. This may include:
- Pages you view and links you click;
- Approximate location (typically country or region, derived from your IP address);
- Device and browser type, screen size, operating system, and language;
- Referring website or source;
- Date, time, and duration of your visit;
- A pseudonymous identifier used to distinguish one visitor from another.
Google Analytics uses cookies and online identifiers to help us measure traffic and improve our content. Google may process this data on our behalf. Learn more at Google’s privacy policy and how Google Analytics uses data.
3. Server and hosting logs. Our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) and our web server automatically record standard log data for security, performance, and reliability. This typically includes your IP address, browser user-agent, requested URLs, referring pages, and timestamps. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health, biometric, or financial account details), and we do not ask you to provide it.
How and why we use information
We use the information above to:
- Operate, secure, and maintain the Site;
- Understand how visitors find and use our content, so we can improve it (analytics);
- Send our newsletter, if you have subscribed and until you unsubscribe;
- Respond to messages and inquiries you send us;
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse;
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Affiliate links and how they work
The Site participates in the Amazon Associates program and may participate in other affiliate programs. When you click an affiliate link and visit a retailer such as Amazon, that retailer may set its own cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. We may receive a commission on qualifying purchases, but we do not receive your name, address, or payment details from these transactions. For more on how affiliate links work, see our Affiliate Disclosure. For how Amazon handles your data, see Amazon’s privacy notice.

Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information only with service providers who help us run the Site:
- Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) — analytics and tag management;
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security;
- Amazon and other affiliate networks — when you click affiliate links and interact with those retailers under their own policies;
- An email service provider — if and when we operate a newsletter;
- Legal and safety recipients — where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Legal bases for processing (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under Article 6 of the GDPR / UK GDPR:
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and analytics, and for sending you our newsletter. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — for keeping the Site secure, preventing abuse, maintaining basic server logs, and understanding aggregate usage.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law.
Where local law requires prior consent before analytics cookies are set, we aim to obtain that consent first.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
For EEA / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR) — the right to access your personal data; to correct inaccurate data; to erasure; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
For California residents (CCPA / CPRA) — the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it; to access and delete it; to correct inaccurate information; to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
California “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, under the CCPA/CPRA, the use of certain third-party analytics cookies can be considered “sharing.” If you are a California resident and wish to opt out, you can:
- Adjust your cookie choices through the Site’s cookie settings, where available;
- Enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we honor as a valid opt-out request where technically feasible;
- Contact us at [email protected] with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.”
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary:
- Analytics data — retained according to our Google Analytics configuration, then aggregated or deleted;
- Server / security logs — typically retained for a short period, then deleted or rotated;
- Newsletter email — retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it;
- Contact messages — retained as long as needed to handle your inquiry.
Children’s privacy (COPPA)
The Site is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
International data transfers
We operate globally and use service providers (including Google and Cloudflare) that may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we and our providers rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Third-party links
The Site contains links to third-party websites and retailers, including affiliate links. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
