Celestron
Is Celestron worth buying?
Celestron earned a buy verdict on 1 of the 5 Celestron products we compared (20%), well below the 50% average across every brand on the site. 1 of them won its comparison outright: Celestron StarSense Explorer 114mm Tabletop Dobsonian. 1 is an "it depends": right for a specific buyer, not for everyone. We would skip 3: Celestron Nature DX ED 8x42, Celestron Elements ThermoTorch 3 Astro Red and Celestron PowerSeeker 70AZ.
Verdicts synthesize independent testing and long-term owner reports; we do not run a lab and never take review units. Each product below links to the comparison it was judged in. How we review.

The Best Rechargeable Hand Warmers: 4 Compared (and One to Skip) · Outdoors & Fitness
Celestron Elements ThermoTorch 3 Astro Red
A red-light astronomy flashlight with a warming function, not a hand warmer you should buy for warmth.

The Best Telescopes: 4 Compared (and One to Skip) · Tech & Gadgets
Celestron PowerSeeker 70AZ
A 70mm f/10 refractor on a light alt-azimuth tripod that Celestron now lists as discontinued - and whose own spec sheet shows the magnification problem.
Why we skip it: Celestron's own specifications rate the highest useful magnification at 165x, yet the included 4mm eyepiece gives 175x and 525x with the Barlow - accessories that promise views the maker's own figure says the optics cannot deliver.
