How we judged the field
A phono preamp does two jobs and nothing else. It is a moving magnet stage offering roughly 35dB of gain into a fixed load, with RCA in and out plus a quarter-inch output, powered by a small external adapter. There is no MC support, no loading choice, no capacitance choice and no rumble filter. Its published signal-to-noise figure is modest by the standards of the rest of this group.
To be fair to it: it is not junk. Independent listening comparisons have found it competent for the money, and if you genuinely have a bare turntable with no built-in stage and an amplifier with no phono input, it will get music playing. That is a real use case.
